This past summer we were fishing in northern Vermont on lake Champlain. We had been out on the water for about four hours, when my brother caught a large mouth bass. When the bass got out of the water the first thing that I noticed was what looked like a bow tie on the bottom of the fish.. When the captain looked at what I was looking at he was surprised. If you look closely at the picture you can see where the fishing line was stuck around the fish. The line was then cut off and the fish got released. That just goes to show you why you should not throw your tag ends of the fishing line over the side of the boat.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
This past summer I helped my four year old cousin, zinnia, catch her first fish ever. We were up in norther Vermont at our place on north hero island. We had been down on the docks for about 5 minutes when she asked me to get her lure out of the weeds. When I got the lure unstuck I gave the rod back to her and she wound it in. When she got it in she said" come over i have a little fishy." When I got over there she did indeed have a little fish all wrapped up in weeds on the hook. She was so excited to have caught her first fish. It was a little perch maybe 4 inches long.

The gift of the magi by O. Henry is a fiction book about two people who give up there most prized possessions to get something for the person that they loved the most. I found that the book made me think about sacrifice. In the book the author is trying tell you that people can be blinded by there love. When they get blinded they often loose sight of what is important, such as there hair and the watch which were both lost due to love. The book starts with the woman trying to think of something that she can get her husband for christmas and she goes shopping. When she goes shopping the first thing she does is sell her hair so that she can get 20 dollars to buy something more substantial. When she finds what she is looking for she goes home and waits for her husband to arrive. When he does they find out that they both bought something for something that they lost. I found the book kind of dull because I have read the book before and did not find much if any new thoughts popped in to my head. I did find that the book was kind of boring and did not have much content that interested me. I felt as thought the book could have been a bit shorter and a lot more to the point. I found that the book was a bit word in spots and a bit long. I would recommend this book to some one who has not already read the book, but if you have I would recommend that you don't read it again.
“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.”

Do you know the feeling when you catch a personal best, or that feeling you get when you know you have just achieved something great.
This past summer I caught my biggest small mouth bass ever. It was 21 inches long and weighed more than four pounds. It was about eight o'clock at night and we were just about to go in and I lifted up my rod tip just a little bit and felt a little weight at the end of the line, so I lifted the rod hard and new there was a fish on the end of my line. The more line I took in The more it took out. After about 5 minutes the fish came in to the boat and we were able to net and get the fish back in the water.
Today I went to a mac n cheese tasting contest and we tried over 15 types of mac n cheese and we all ate over one pond of pasta. There were some weird types which i avoided like a pickle and beer mac n cheese and a blue cheese buffalo chicken mac n cheese. My favorite was king Arthur flours which was a sun dried tomato and had garlic crouton topping and was very rich.
We spent almost a hour and had lots of food and then we had to go back home after having that for our lunch.

Zip lining through the air was fun until you realized there was nothing but the water to stop you.
Last week My class and I went to a camp just out side of Winslow Maine, and we spent just about two days there before, sadly we had to go home. We did lots of things up at the camp. We did high ropes and low ropes, games and soccer, and an aqua zip. The goal of the trip was for our class to bond as a group and get to know each other better. My personal favorite was the aqua zip. When we got there every body jumped in line to get harnesses so that they could go down the zip line. To get up to the zip line you have to climb up a tree that has staples in it so that was a little scary. Once you got up to the top of the tree, 65 feet in the air. The guy who was at the top told us to look at the tree and to do so we had to look down at the ground because the platform was way to small for the two of us to be up there. Once he hooked you in to the wire he said on my count just walk of the edge of the platform. I had done zip lines before and on those i had been able to see where I was going to end and on this one I could not see that. So once I stepped of the platform I swung upside down. I then go right side up and went in to the water backwards and almost lost my pants. Although it was scary I was glad that I did it.
If I ever get the chance to go on that zip line again. It was something that I have never seen and it was so much fun I am upset that we could only go once.
I always hate the end summer. That is for one reason, time, after summer I have none of it. After the summer is over I have no time to do what I want. It is all taken up by homework, school and other things that I would rather not be doing. The summer is also warmer than the rest of the year which makes it better to play out side in and better to go fishing in. I like to go fishing a lot I spend a fair amount of my summer fishing and in the winter it is a lot harder to do that because you need to get all the gear, and then find a pond, and get out, and then you need to wait for the ice to be right, yet in the summer you don't have to do any of that.
